The personal exhibition of Petersburg artist Alexander Fedorov “Homo ludens” has opened in gallery "Borey". The name of the exhibition on which 42 pictures will be presented, is translated from Latin as "the playing person".
The artist-intellectual reading a lot and not alien to philosophy, speaks, that the name of the exhibition and its concept were borrowed at philosopher Johanna Hejzingi, which in the book "The playing person" insists that game underlies any human activity, art and game are bound very closely.
The exposition is subordinated to the purpose to open various games of mind and passions. The picture "Billiards" (1991), hanging in the first hall, can be considered as an original epigraph to all exhibition. The exhibition will last till October, 12.
