For four days St. Petersburg becomes the capital of author's songs - on Thursday, October, 3, IV International festival "Petersburg chord" will open here. These days about 300 bards from Russia, and also from 17 countries of near and distant foreign countries will gather in Northern capital.
Twenty concerts of the festival will take place in the Ice Palace, the Concert Hall "Oktjabrsky", the Palace of culture Lensoveta, the Palace of Youth, the City palace of the young creativity, in assembly halls of high schools and enterprises and on open city stages of Northern capital. More than 50 thousand admirers of the author's song become spectators of these concerts and other festival actions. Besides in frameworks of the "Petersburg chord" competition is held. The jury which consists of masters of author's song, will estimate on five nominations creativity of 80 performers. Also in festival days seminars will be held. The traditional International festival of the bard songs "Petersburg chord" is carried out once in two years. It sums up small and big festivals, meetings, other song actions realized at regional levels on all Russia and abroad.
