Author of music to ”The umbrellas of Cherbourg” will give two concerts in the Opera and ballet theatre of the Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov.
December, 16 and 17,2002 on invitation of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation legendary French composer, pianist, brilliant jazzman and conductor Michel Legrand will perform in Saint Petersburg. Concerts are devoted to Petersburg’s 300-anniversary.
Michel Legrand is one of the outstanding composers of the present. He is one who three times was awarded with the highest prize in nomination “Music in movies”, owner of 3 “Oscars” and 5 “Grammies”. On Moscow International film festival Michel Legran one of the first was awarded with the prize “Golden Eagle” for an outstanding contribution to the cinema development.
The program “All the best of Legrand” will be presented in the tour. Concerts will be carried out in the Opera and Ballet theatre of the Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov.
