"Food is a part of culture, just like music or literature", explains Risto Lehmusoksa, an author and the retired head of the Gummerus publishing house. Together with his wife Ritva Lehmusoksa, he has written a cultural-historic cookbook The Cuisine of Imperial St. Petersburg, which is packed with abundant information. In honour of the 300-year anniversary celebration of the Russian city, a second edition of the cookbook will be published later on in January.
