In the anniversary year the festival will be returning to the city for the ninth time. The festival is unique in that the participating films had been made by children aged 6-18. They wrote the script, edited and dubbed their work. The work is presented in various genres, such as documentaries, feature films, and cartoons. The children tell about their everyday lives or historical events, and present remakes of famous Soviet films.
The contest presents over 200 films by young cinematographers, where they will compete in 15 nominations. During the festival 530 future film stars will come to St. Petersburg to take a city tour and meet with celebrities.
