The concert of Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan will take place tomorrow, on June 17 at the Ice Palace. The iconic frontman of one of the world's most famous rock groups will present his solo album "Paper Monsters".
Dave Gahan has lived the archetypal rock 'n' roll lifestyle and has somehow lived to tell the tale, although for 6 minutes in 1996, he was clinically dead. Luckily, he survived this tormented period of his life, calmed down and - to prove his maturity, perhaps, - recorded his solo album. Comprising a series of sincere and polished narratives and drawing on many musical influences, "Paper Monsters "is deeply autobiographical throughout. Gahan has described the making of this album as a liberating process. Many songs of "Paper Monsters" are reminiscent of Depeche Mode - sprawling and decadent. Yet it seems that minus Gore's melodramatic input, these songs become strangely optimistic and hopeful. Gahan himself has described the making of this album as a liberating process.
Everybody willing to appreciate the solo career of the legend of the 80-ies and also to hear some old songs can do it tomorrow at the Ice Palace
