“Evening of Balanchina’s Ballets” opens the performance under direction of maestro Valeriy Gergiev . One of the famous world ballet troupes will complete the XI-th International Festival “The Starts of White Nights” that takes place in St. Petersburg. Guests and citizens of St. Petersburg will enjoy one-act ballets of Jorge Balanchine and Jeromy Robbins, whose choreography underlies the troupe’s artistic style, and also a ballet of Peter Martins, who has been heading the group since 1990. It is the largest American ballet troupe than consists of 90 ballet-dancers and has at its repertoire more than 150 works.
