Choreographer and dancer Michael Flatley brings his "Lord of the Dance" show in the Ledovy Palace today, on October 24-25. Six years ago famous choreographer and dancer Michael Flatley devised a show, where he united elements of folk Irish dances and medieval mysteries with avant-garde dances and modern light effects.
Flatley has turned from a dancer into a businessman controlling his successful project - Lord of the Dance show. He created it in 1996, when he quarrelled with producers of another world-famous show - Riverdance. The project called Lord of the Dance became popular. It triumphantly toured around the world. About 7 million spectators visited the show. There are four Lord of the dance troupes now: one in Europe and Asia, the second one - in Las Vegas, the third one - in the Disneyworld in Florida, and the fourth one tours permanently around the USA. They unite 200 dancers, whose average age is 21-22. Flatley holds castings himself and selects artists for his show.
