The first Liana Issakadze International Violin Competition is being held in Saint-Petersburg Philarmonics. It is held under the patronage of the Georgian president. The Competition will be held one time in three years. Violinists of the age from 16 to 30 years old inclusive are invited to participate in the Competition. The competition has three rounds, all of which are open to public. A maximum of 12 competitors will qualify for the second round. A maximum of 4 competitors will qualify for the third round. The following prizes will be awarded: I Prize and Gold medal – 10.000 USD, II Prize and Silver medal – 5.000 USD, III Prize and Bronze medal – 2.500 USD, IV Prize – honorary award and valuable prize. Special awards include Liana Issakadze Prize - 1.000 USD, «Kadjima» Prize – concert in Tokyo (presented by Ms. Nakako Watanabe). I Prize winner will receive
Two-year contract with Intrada Concert Agency, concert tour with an orchestra over Germany, the winner will also appear at the International festival of arts in Borjomi (Georgia)
