The world known ballet star Farukh Ruzimatov will perform today on the stage of the Opera and Ballet theatre of the St. Petersburg Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov.
The program includes the fragments from the ballets “Sleeping beauty” by Chaikovsky, “Vision of the rose” by Weber, etc. Julua Mahalina and the soloists of the St. Petersburg theatres will participate in the evening performance.
Faruh Ruzimatov is the principal dancer of the Mariinsky theatre, the laureate of the International Ballet artists’ contest in Varna, the owner of the Paris Academy diploma in dancing, and the laureate of the “Baltika” prize in 1998.
His repertoire includes:
La Sylphide (James), Giselle (Albrecht), La Bayadere (Solor), Don Quixote (Basil), Le Corsaire (Ali), Swan Lake (Siegfried), Raymonda (Abderakhman), The Sleeping Beauty (Prince Desire), The Nutcracker (Prince), Swan Lake (Siegfried), "Paquita" Grand Pas, Auber´s Grand Pas Classique, The Legend of Love (Ferkhad), Vinogradov´s The Knight in the Tiger Skin (Tariel); Fokine´s Sheherazade (Golden Slave), Chopiniana, Spectre de la Rose; Balanchine´s Theme and Variations, Apollo (Apollo), Prodigal Son (Prodigal Son); Roland Petit´s Carmen (Don Jose), Le Jeune Homme et la Mort, Goya-Divertissement, created by Jose Antonio for Farukh Ruzimatov. Has performed as Principal guest dancer with American Ballet Theater and has toured throughout the world with the Kirov Ballet.
