The Consulate General of Japan in Saint-Peterburg introduces a retrospective of films of a bright Japanese film director Heinosuke Gosho. The screenings will be held in Dom Kino from January 29 to February 1.
Heinosuke Gosho is a prominent Japan director famous who tried, as he himself put it, "to describe real life, raging around a person and create works which express original human feeling... A film, as any work of art, must touch the audience’s emotions and touch them deeply..."
Saint Petersburg audience will have a chance to see 5 feature films: "Once again" (1947, w/b), "Yellow Crow" (1957, coloured), "Aru yo futatabi" aka "Again once at night" (1956), "Mother Please Marry" (1962), "Woman of Osore Mansion" (1965).
the screenings are free of charge. Free invitation cards are available at the ticket office of Dom Kino an hour before every seance.
