St. Petersburg, Russia, is hosting the 9th International Environmental Film Festival Green Vision this week.

Timed to coincide with Environment Week, the festival features 53 films from 24 countries, including Iceland, Portugal and Hong Kong, Novosti reported Tuesday.

The winning films will be announced Friday, the last day of the festival. They will receive exclusive awards made in the style of laser graphics.

The festival, among the 10 biggest European environmental film festivals, is making its ninth appearance in St. Petersburg.
