An all-Belgian fashion and jewelry show was held at the Shuvalov Palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on May 28. Designers from various fields – handbags, men’s wear, women’s wear and jewelry – were selected to participate.
The show, organized by the Belgian Federal Ministry of Economy, was a highlight of the Economic Mission to Russia. Marc Verwilghen, Belgium’s Federal Minister of Economy, Energy, Foreign Trade and Science Policy, also attended.
The event kicked off with the contemporary handbag and shoes collection of Ellen Verbeek, followed by the gowns of international fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester; the tailored men’s wear of duo Tom Notte and Bart Vandebosch for Les Hommes; the cocktail and evening gowns by Yves Dooms; Goddess and Angels collection by Fragma and modern Couture by Armando de Vincentiis.
Rosy Blue collections including Vera Wang Fine Jewelry and Circles and Natural Color Diamond were also displayed. The grand finale combined an avant-garde cream wedding dress by Ann Demeulemeester and diamond jewelry set with 100 carats from Rosy Blue’s private collection.
Concluding the fashion show was an exclusive dinner hosted by Rosy Blue and De Beers at the Stroganoff Palace.
