Russian couples looking for a memorable way to celebrate their wedding will now be able to mark the most important event of their lives on a train
The Russian Railways joint-stock company (RZhD) is joining the services market for organizing weddings and offering to combine wedding ceremonies and honeymoons in one train.
The train was paraded at the Moskovsky railway station in St. Petersburg Tuesday. It consists of several cars where the bride and groom can exchange vows in a church ceremony, hold the reception, and travel to their honeymoon destination, the press service of the Russian Railways company said. The train can accommodate up to 100 guests, the press service said.
"The newly weds will also be provided with a comfortable compartment elaborately decorated for the occasion and a special festive dinner," the press service said.
The proposed wedding train will run between Moscow and St. Petersburg.
