The historical festival Legends of Norwegian Vikings takes place in St. Petersburg in the fortress of Petropavlovskaya on the May 14 – 16. Military history clubs from different Russia cities are going to take part in it.
The festival takes place within The Norwegian Days in St. Petersburg. A Viking village appears on the banks of Neva River, and everybody will be able to see everyday life and customs of the early medieval Norwegians, to get familiar with different medieval crafts, to learn, how the weapons and jewelry were manufactured and even read your fortune on the runes. Show battles and competitions are also included into the program. Everybody will have a possibility to feel like a medieval Norwegian during the festival.
