'Stray Dog' is one of the well-known cultural and historical places in St. Petersburg. In 1912-1915 it was a famous art cabaret. 'Stray Dog' has got a legendary and somewhat scandalous fame due to its interior decoration and sparkish talents of the guests. Many famous poets, musicians, artists of the so-called 'Silver Age' of the Russian culture were the every-night guests of the cabaret. Performances, lectures, musical and poetry parties were held in 'Stray Dog'. Both the supporters of the traditional arts and those of the new trends - futurists, symbolists, achmeists took part in them. This year for the first time since 1915 the 'Stray Dog' is open to the public. It is located in the center os St.Petersburg in a very cizy basement (Iskusstv sq., 5). There is a cabaret and a restaurant with European and Russian cuisine.
